About the products
What's a LinaBloom candle made of?
A blend of soy, coconut, apricot, and sunflower wax, with phthalate-free fragrance oils and a 100% cotton, lead-free wick. No paraffin, no synthetic dyes, no parabens. Every batch is poured by hand in Cumming, Georgia.
Are they "natural"?
Mostly. The wax is plant-derived. The wicks are cotton. Fragrance oils are a blend of natural extracts and synthetic aroma molecules — that's true of every fragranced candle on the market, including ones that say "all natural" on the label. The fragrance oils I use are phthalate-free and IFRA-compliant for candle use. If you'd prefer essential-oil-only, email me — I can sometimes make small custom pours.
Are they vegan?
Yes, the candles are vegan. The bar soap is not vegan — it contains goat's milk. Each product page calls this out.
How long will a candle burn?
- 8oz candle: approximately 40–50 hours of total burn time
- 12oz candle: approximately 60–70 hours
- 1.5oz wax melt snap bar: 30–40 hours per cube, depending on warmer
- 1.85oz wax melt snap bar: 35–45 hours per cube
- 2.6oz wax melt clamshell: 50–60 hours total

Are LinaBloom candles safe for pets?
The wax and wicks are safe. Some fragrance components can irritate birds, cats, or pets with respiratory sensitivities. Burn in well-ventilated areas, never leave a candle within reach of a pet, and check the Allergen & Safe Use page if your pet has known sensitivities.
Are they safe during pregnancy?
A few fragrance and essential-oil components are not recommended during pregnancy. If you're pregnant or nursing, please check with your healthcare provider before using strongly fragranced products, and look at the ingredient list on the specific scent's product page.
Burning a candle right
The first burn — what's the rule?
The first time you light a candle, let it burn long enough that the melted wax pool reaches the edge of the vessel. For an 8oz that's about 2–3 hours; for a 12oz, 3–4 hours.
This sets the "memory" of the candle. If you blow it out before the pool reaches the edge, the candle will burn straight down the middle ("tunneling") and waste wax stuck to the sides for the rest of its life.
Why does my candle burn unevenly?
Almost always one of three things:
- First burn was too short (see above)
- Wick wasn't trimmed — long wicks make uneven, smoky flames
- Draft — open windows, vents, ceiling fans pull the flame to one side
Trim the wick to ¼ inch before every burn. Move the candle away from drafts. Let it burn long enough on the next burn to even the pool out.
How do I trim the wick?
Scissors work. A nail clipper works. Wick trimmers are nice but not necessary. Trim when the wick is cool, not after just blowing it out — hot wax splatters.
What's the longest I should burn a candle in one sitting?
Four hours, maximum. After 4 hours the vessel is hot, the wick mushrooms, and you start getting soot. Snuff it, let it cool, trim, relight.
When do I stop burning?
When about ½ inch (about 12mm) of wax remains at the bottom of the vessel. Burning below that point can crack the glass from heat.
How do I put a candle out cleanly?
Use a snuffer, or dip the wick into the wax with a wick dipper (any small metal tool works) and then straighten it back up. This prevents smoke and wax splatter. Blowing them out is fine in a pinch — just keep your face back.
Wax melts
How do I use a wax melt?
Drop one or two cubes into the dish of a UL-listed electric wax warmer or a tealight warmer designed for wax melts. Plug in (or light the tealight), enjoy. Never use a stovetop, microwave, or open flame to melt them.
How long does a wax melt last?
A 1.5oz snap-bar cube usually puts out scent for 10–15 hours in a typical warmer. Stronger throw at first, gradually softer.
How do I change scents?
Let the warmer cool completely. Then either soak the cooled wax with cotton balls (they'll absorb it), or pour the still-liquid wax into a disposable container — don't pour wax down the drain. Wipe the warmer dish clean.
Soap
Are the bar soaps for face or body?
Designed for body. They're gentle enough for most faces, but patch-test first if you have sensitive facial skin.
How long will a bar last?
With a draining soap dish and reasonable storage, a 4oz bar lasts 4–6 weeks in daily shower use.
Why does the soap last longer in a draining dish?
Bar soap dissolves continuously in standing water. Storing it out of the water stream — and letting it dry between uses — can double its lifespan.

Not yet. If you're outside the US and really want a LinaBloom candle, email me — sometimes we can work it out.
My candle arrived melted. Now what?
Email me at andrew@linabloomcandles.com with a photo within 7 days of delivery. I'll send a replacement or refund — even though the carrier caused it, I cover it. The shipping policy explains the hot-weather hold option that prevents this.
Can I return a candle if I don't like the scent?
Yes — 30 days, any reason, full refund. See the refund policy. Fragrance is personal; I don't want anyone stuck with a candle they don't love.
Can I pick up local instead of shipping?
Yes. Choose "Local Pickup" at checkout if you're near Cumming. See Find Us for the pickup location.
Gifts, wholesale, custom
Do you make gift sets?

Can I include a gift note?
Yes. There's a "Gift note" field at checkout. I hand-write a card and tuck it into the package.
Do you do custom scents or private label?
Limited custom work, depending on volume. Email me with what you're imagining and I'll let you know if it's something I can do.
